Chill Out

Rest and relaxation reduces stress and improves overall health, that’s why it’s vital to take time to relax and quiet your thoughts by letting your mind rest. The human body needs this to function properly and the reason as to why we sleep is because it rejuvenates and restores balance to our bodies. Sleeping helps repair tissues, synthesises hormones and aids in muscle growth. A lack of sleep can weaken your immune system, hinder thinking ability, lowers your sex drive and can actually lead to weight gain, so make sure you’re getting plenty of down time

Eat Well

Fill your body with nutrient dense fruit, vegetables and grains. You’ll soon see a huge improvement to your energy levels, mood, and general well-being. If you take care of yourself, you can keep your cholesterol and blood pressure within a safe range. This keeps your blood flowing smoothly, decreasing your risk of cardiovascular diseases. Having said all of this, it is also important to have a naughty treat now and again! Balance is key.

Drink Water

Keeping hydrated is super important, not only for skin and mental wellbeing but it also lubricates your joints, cushions the brain, spinal cord and other sensitive tissues plus makes minerals and nutrients more accessible and the list just goes on and on! Be sure you’re drinking at the very least, 2 litres of water per day!

Get Moving

Exercise is the best form of stress release according to studies, and not only does it mentally give you that feel good factor, it also improves sleeping patterns, alleviates anxiety, sharpens memory and overall improves quality of life. Healthy body = healthy mind!
